BEFORE FAREWELL….

FAREWELL-An expression of goodwill at parting
I didn’t know the meaning of the farewell till few minutes back when I searched it in dictionary and got to know the literal meaning.
Exactly15 hrs from now, left for our farewell party time to start. And everyone is just busy preparing for it. Getting their sarees ready (for formal) and also preparing for the informal which has been fixed up in Delhi Devils. The name is not new to me… as the same was the venue for IGIT-DCE socio and now it our farewell party. Doesn’t sound good, but can’t continue with engineering any longer when I am gonna pass it out :D
The emotions are mixed…excited for the party but can’t forget that its our farewell party,
And just 1 month and 2 days left for the graduation to get over. And then all these little little things like parties, endless nights spent in the hostel nattering, discussing, planning trips(which had never been implemented except for some rare ones), girls night out(in the hostel), pranks against Miss Rita Singh(warden), imitating Miss Rita Singh…and jargons…Won’t matter and would be left as memories to smile at.
I wish life could always be melodic like this but the phase will end with us singing songs like......
Purani jeans aur guitar….
Summer of 69…

Oh Dilli!!

Read an outlandish article yesterday which seemed to be written by some young delhite,a teenager probably, who had asked the Delhi govt. to take certain steps to bring life to the Delhi Nights.
Steps to be taken can be summed up below:
1. Security at night
2. Well-lit streets
3. 24x7 hangouts
4. Night Bazaar (supposedly to bring ATM’s into good use!)
5. Cultural nights ( for foreign tourers to India)
Bla bla bla……..
Now when the Indian govt. is not able to feed a hatful of Indian population is it really ethical to ask such things..? Don’t really think so…
Paul Krugman said, where the Indian economy is ameliorating, as a result of Globalization and outsourcing, the rich are becoming richer and the poor, poorer. So what is leading to such consequences?? These YOUNG INDIAN BRAGGADOCIOS who instead of paying any attention to improve India are looking for improvement in their lifestyle.
Every yr. lot of people living below the poverty line, come to Delhi, from the various states all over India in the hope of earning a meager living which would be enough to feed their kids.
But after reading such articles it is impossible to figure out where India is really heading…!!

MURPHY'S LAWS...

All is well that ends...

Logic is a systematic method of coming to the wrong conclusion with confidence....

Everything that goes up must come down...

All the good ones are taken.
coor. :If the person isn't taken, there's a reason.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

The first myth of management is that it exists.

The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the fabricator and impossible for the serviceman.

PLACEMENT DAYS….

Placements for the batch junior to us started 2 days ago…the first company that came for placement was TCS. As soon as students got to know about TCS coming for placements, an usual aura in the hostel changed. A wave of realization, of the need to settle their lives and to realize themselves a future technocrat came over among all the juniors. Students who were seen sauntering around the campus (in the evening especially) cud now be seen engaged in some sort of serious stuff, on which their future as engineers was hinged upon. Coming to the details of each day:
First day: The written exam, testing their general aptitude skills. Exam basically had three sections,
1. verbal
2. quantitative analysis
3. Analytical reasoning
Exam was not all that difficult and the tests of all the groups of students schismed into slots got over by 9.30 at night. Result was announced at around 11 at night and more than 80% of the students had qualified.

Second day: Then came the day for interviews. Hostlers among these 80% , cud be seen for the first time getting ready n following the conventional rule of having bath early in the morning and getting ready and then praying to GOD to help them turn the tide in their favor. And finally left for interviews which continued upto 10 at night.

Third day: Then came the last day with no further test but still the most awaited day ,as it was the day when the results were to be announced. News came that the list would reach college at 10 in the morning. So the hot topic of discussion on the breakfast table now was TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES and our TPO ,who according to students had the result but was late in coming to college. So the students were now being nosey.
Somehow the day passed and results were announced at around 8 in the evening, when I saw a mob of girls standing outside the mechanical block screaming and yelling out of happiness, for they were now part of TATA group of PEOPLE….
