AMBIVALENCE...

After 4 Yrs Aditi is pulling up stakes…don’t think we ll ever meet after this.
People say life keeps moving and so u and that makes u keep leaving everything behind, considering its now part of the past. So “Keep throwing ur PAST into bin creating vacancy to create FUTURE in it” Is it so easy to leave people who held significant part of our life?.. A pragmatic thought will say “yes”, its better u move on and that’s what my split personality also says but emotions also stand somewhere isn’t it?
Talking to her when there is just 1hr left, and still both of us have lots to talk and share...Though those moments are left in the campus but the things to be discussed are still burgeoning with each new day… Still planning to mail each other with the latest happenings in each ones life...
An adage “ Job never gives good friends“ , though proved fallacious to me... But still leaving an erstwhile friend is not a job that can be done leisurely.
Its hard to admit and probably this is the first time I am doing it… 

BANNING BLUELINE BUSES….

Finally the issue has come to the notice to Delhi government…The deadly transport running freely on Delhi roads with no fear and no restriction.
But is the decision by Sheila Dixit, of phasing out these buses from Delhi roads the right decision? Though killing of innocent people by these buses is not a new story….The saga is ancient, just that it’s the first time d issue has come to life.
I think it’s the easiest way opted by the government to get rid of the whole issue and the easiest way to mollify raging Delhi people…
Indian law is compounded of sections and Acts. Things change with time but still certain acts and sections which need to be omitted or modified exist as such. Or at the worst, are not followed when everyone of us know they are made for our convenience.
Drivers routinely do everything except follow the law. They do not bother to drive in a specified lane, follow speed limits and chitchat on mobile phone also continue side by side. Traffic laws exist and laws to punish those who violate them also exist, what is required is rigorous implementation!
License is issued without any driving test… Believe me when I went for my license, no one bothered to test….That’s when problems burgeon…Everything is weighed against money… Bribe has solution to every problem…. That’s what some think.
Its in hands of police to punish people for breaching traffic laws. Closing blue line buses is not the solution instead this will lead to unemployment….

Sunday

RASHTRA(PATI/PATNI)…

Women being elected as the president of country,, in India and “The so called super power” US, has led to lot of controversial discussions, including certain absurd ones like whether the female President of India should be called RASHTRAPATNI? and if Hillary Clinton becomes the next US President would she be referred to as Mrs. Presidentrix?
Now when for so many years certain words like manhole...chairman…have never been given thought upon, Why an unneeded debate on this?
The things which should be of more concern are barely given time. Another exemplar can be the whole Dera case. There is one part of the country where daily bombings and blasts are causing decimation and the other where a common man is taking another man’s life just because he thinks differently, and the two believe in different incarnations?
Where people are giving ideas to conduct a public poll to determine whether the fellow citizes of female president would like to call her Rashtrapatni or Rashtamata….Why don’t we all conduct a poll to determine how many women/ children are still being harassed in a country like India…? Nothing is rocket science unless we take hold and work towards it….

6 DAYS TO GO….

The countdown has started and there are just 6 days more to go…before all of us disperse to enter the next phase of life,, which is gonna be highly professional… The only solution everyone of us have found is to cut on our sleep, to spend maximum time with each other…as its not possible to cut on study timings rite now.

Its hard to accept,,,,, the family we had for four years,…sharing every lil' joy and sorrow… bickering on minuscule matters….and then going to each others room and asking “ARE YOU ANNOYED WITH ME??” (sounds very kiddish now) will continue no more in the west hostel…..nothing will be of this sort after 6 days…

No more dance parties together…no more 12 O’clock b’day parties….No more playing pranks with hostel inmates…(The hostel bhoot party!!)…no more asking stuff from noresponse.com in the mess…
Thanks to the technology which made possible for a man to capture every moment in his life and then able to view it on the idiot box….And we have been making full use of it from last 6 months….Having photo sessions…making videos…and lot more….but how long will this continue…after all its not possible to capture four years of fun in just 6 months…

Thinking all this leaves, jus a small smile on the face and lot of tears in eyes….
MISS U All’

AFTER FAREWELL…

Farewell parties got over quite a long time back and I am late to pen it down. The reason being slam books…now as the formal greet is over..its time to fill up the slam books…and fixing up the scribbling day…

Two days which passed away like a wind..leaving really sweet memories..were awesome.
Each day opened up with the excitement to prepare for the party,, with giving the title to each senior by their juniors being the main part of the formal side of it..and ofcourse informal part rocked with the DJ…

Delhi Devils rocked with its awesome DJ , lighting and an unrestrained aura provided inside…Lighting effects were actually making everyone look like a devil.. so quite pertinent to its name….

Saturday

BEFORE FAREWELL….

FAREWELL-An expression of goodwill at parting
I didn’t know the meaning of the farewell till few minutes back when I searched it in dictionary and got to know the literal meaning.
Exactly15 hrs from now, left for our farewell party time to start. And everyone is just busy preparing for it. Getting their sarees ready (for formal) and also preparing for the informal which has been fixed up in Delhi Devils. The name is not new to me… as the same was the venue for IGIT-DCE socio and now it our farewell party. Doesn’t sound good, but can’t continue with engineering any longer when I am gonna pass it out :D
The emotions are mixed…excited for the party but can’t forget that its our farewell party,
And just 1 month and 2 days left for the graduation to get over. And then all these little little things like parties, endless nights spent in the hostel nattering, discussing, planning trips(which had never been implemented except for some rare ones), girls night out(in the hostel), pranks against Miss Rita Singh(warden), imitating Miss Rita Singh…and jargons…Won’t matter and would be left as memories to smile at.
I wish life could always be melodic like this but the phase will end with us singing songs like......
Purani jeans aur guitar….
Summer of 69…

Oh Dilli!!

Read an outlandish article yesterday which seemed to be written by some young delhite,a teenager probably, who had asked the Delhi govt. to take certain steps to bring life to the Delhi Nights.
Steps to be taken can be summed up below:
1. Security at night
2. Well-lit streets
3. 24x7 hangouts
4. Night Bazaar (supposedly to bring ATM’s into good use!)
5. Cultural nights ( for foreign tourers to India)
Bla bla bla……..
Now when the Indian govt. is not able to feed a hatful of Indian population is it really ethical to ask such things..? Don’t really think so…
Paul Krugman said, where the Indian economy is ameliorating, as a result of Globalization and outsourcing, the rich are becoming richer and the poor, poorer. So what is leading to such consequences?? These YOUNG INDIAN BRAGGADOCIOS who instead of paying any attention to improve India are looking for improvement in their lifestyle.
Every yr. lot of people living below the poverty line, come to Delhi, from the various states all over India in the hope of earning a meager living which would be enough to feed their kids.
But after reading such articles it is impossible to figure out where India is really heading…!!

MURPHY'S LAWS...

All is well that ends...

Logic is a systematic method of coming to the wrong conclusion with confidence....

Everything that goes up must come down...

All the good ones are taken.
coor. :If the person isn't taken, there's a reason.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

The first myth of management is that it exists.

The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the fabricator and impossible for the serviceman.

Saturday

Thursday

PLACEMENT DAYS….

Placements for the batch junior to us started 2 days ago…the first company that came for placement was TCS. As soon as students got to know about TCS coming for placements, an usual aura in the hostel changed. A wave of realization, of the need to settle their lives and to realize themselves a future technocrat came over among all the juniors. Students who were seen sauntering around the campus (in the evening especially) cud now be seen engaged in some sort of serious stuff, on which their future as engineers was hinged upon. Coming to the details of each day:
First day: The written exam, testing their general aptitude skills. Exam basically had three sections,
1. verbal
2. quantitative analysis
3. Analytical reasoning
Exam was not all that difficult and the tests of all the groups of students schismed into slots got over by 9.30 at night. Result was announced at around 11 at night and more than 80% of the students had qualified.

Second day: Then came the day for interviews. Hostlers among these 80% , cud be seen for the first time getting ready n following the conventional rule of having bath early in the morning and getting ready and then praying to GOD to help them turn the tide in their favor. And finally left for interviews which continued upto 10 at night.

Third day: Then came the last day with no further test but still the most awaited day ,as it was the day when the results were to be announced. News came that the list would reach college at 10 in the morning. So the hot topic of discussion on the breakfast table now was TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES and our TPO ,who according to students had the result but was late in coming to college. So the students were now being nosey.
Somehow the day passed and results were announced at around 8 in the evening, when I saw a mob of girls standing outside the mechanical block screaming and yelling out of happiness, for they were now part of TATA group of PEOPLE….

Saturday

WHY NOT SAY NO??

Could I ever take stand n say no when I really wanted to? A big question for which I always had an answer, but when I knew d answer y could I never implement it….
Still an unanswered question…
Situations came in tandem, bringing up d same question…. can u say no?? ya I can but then i cud not. Friends came and lectured for long n kept telling me things which I already knew but d only problem was the effectuation of those things.
whenever d situation came I persuaded myself to be patient as this cud, jus be another test of my patience. While on the path of becoming an engg and further part of corporate world , i should learn to handle these kind of situations.
The funniest part is that the reason I don deny a person is, becoz I fear his chafe. But things get worse when I bristle with anger and somehow manage to express d same later on. So I should rather stay calm n say things aboveboard. That will solve problems on both sides.. :-)

Thursday

WELL BEGUN IS HALF DONE...

Cudn think of a good topic to write about,i wasted 15 minutes,Aditi asked, why am i wasting time so much on jus thinking of a topic? I said well begun is half done... k dis left me in state of intellection n i starting writin on it!!
Though the saying is not new to me but everytime it strikes my mind, it seems new. prolly becuz i always forget to implement it.
hope this time its not ephimeral...!!

Tuesday

MUSIC....

Its been only for the past few yrs since I started taking singing very seriously…Hats off to my friend for she cud realize d worth of music in my life which I cud never.Prolly cuz I always thought, I am going to be tech savvy in 4yrs so I shud be good at technical stuff. Even if dats not an inborn endowment,I shud imbibe it . Deferred for pretty long time but now I hv decided to balance the two…though d ultimate profession vl expect stuff vch s not ingrained. But one thing is certain its classical music vch is the mother of all music. So if by any chance u r planning to learn music, I would suggest to u to start with classical even if the requirement is different. That will make ur progression towards the next step easier, with no extra impetus……

Saturday

A LISTLESS EXISTENCE…

Life is a struggle and had always been for a human being …demurring d best times he had with his loved ones,…This had always sounded very bizarre to me till the time I felt its role in my life…going thro’ the same phase….minors from Monday but unlettered as to the xact course…still sitting here and blogging ….final event on Saturday, d most awaited day,d day which will prove me as a successful or an unsuccessful leader(the day i hv my last xam) …and den comes d day i have to leave for home…so much to do but no proper channelisation of my efforts/thought process till dis minute….this is called a listless existence
Still life keeps propelling me…in no particular direction …!!

Thursday

LEADERSHIP....

The word seems authoritative but is simultaneously very heavy when enforced….the most commonly asked question in an interview “How do u define a leader?” When d same was asked by my interviewer, I answered very confidently with a scholarly definition that cud never be wrong ,albeit nescient of its de facto meaning..till the time I got an opportunity to prove myself…and realized how arduous it is to be a leader…
A day came when I had to judge my own friends...(with whom i spent the best of my times.. ), knowing how gud they were but ignorant of how good their competitors were!!! moments came when my mind was plagued by dilemma,,,now wat to do?,,,, what road to take?…reject them or simply go and tell them to not compete cuz I fear their defeat or to jus stand by and let their caliber speak for them…since I was there to just announce what they already subconsciously knew about their caliber as compared to other competitors(in spite of which they were trying)…
“Leaders are visionaries with a poorly developed sense of fear and no concept of the odds against them”
--Dr. Robert Jarvik
so what am I scared of??
Soon the results were announced and just a few cud pull through ….but I heaved a sigh of relief, for dose who cud not clear were happy for dose who did…..n my dilemma was solved….

TRIAL RUN..

I always hated blogging…never cud make out how cud ppl xpress dere feelings so openly on such a public grade…but nw not able to understand wat is persuading me to write one…hmmm…lot of mudiness in mind…but one thing is certain….a blog if written on some really good issues cn leave a person in a state of intellection I hope I wud also contribute to the same…but as its jus a start so can’t promise rite now…. ;)so starting with my intro..
I am a girl who always had problem expressing herself….always being asked by frens why don u tell when u like or dislike something!!! never found an answer for dat n still on my way finding out ….
Perfection, music, and art is what appeals to me….when clear with goals, can work indefatigably .A typical Capricorn… very practical in life. An average engineering student…doing pretty well but can do much better in miscellaneous artistic stuff…so hv thought lot of avocations for myself… i guess dats pretty much of it…
