Read an outlandish article yesterday which seemed to be written by some young delhite,a teenager probably, who had asked the Delhi govt. to take certain steps to bring life to the Delhi Nights.
Steps to be taken can be summed up below:
1. Security at night
2. Well-lit streets
3. 24x7 hangouts
4. Night Bazaar (supposedly to bring ATM’s into good use!)
5. Cultural nights ( for foreign tourers to India)
Bla bla bla……..
Now when the Indian govt. is not able to feed a hatful of Indian population is it really ethical to ask such things..? Don’t really think so…
Paul Krugman said, where the Indian economy is ameliorating, as a result of Globalization and outsourcing, the rich are becoming richer and the poor, poorer. So what is leading to such consequences?? These YOUNG INDIAN BRAGGADOCIOS who instead of paying any attention to improve India are looking for improvement in their lifestyle.
Every yr. lot of people living below the poverty line, come to Delhi, from the various states all over India in the hope of earning a meager living which would be enough to feed their kids.
But after reading such articles it is impossible to figure out where India is really heading…!!

nice come up with articles giving in more insight about you...
anyway keep posting be more regular....
Gr8 Habit...
hey Miss... you seem to have gotten a wrong idea about the intentions of this guy... to me it seems like he has the best intentions of the poor of this country in his mind by asking for the followings...
1. Security at night : Will lead to an increase in the vigilance and less of criminal activities... pertinent to the development of our country... will also lead to increased employment of security guards, and hence leads to a decrease in poverty
2. Well-lit streets : I can't figure out how can anyone go against this one. Lighting up the streets will only make them safer (especially for ladies)... and decrease road accidents...
3. 24x7 hangouts : This will also need to an increase in employment, and also the money-flow will be from the rich to the poor (the rich will spend and the poor will earn, either by selling or by getting employed).... so in effect the rich will become poorer and the poor will become richer... isn't that what you want? isn't that what we all want?
4. Night Bazaar (supposedly to bring ATM’s into good use!) : This one also goes like the one above it... money flow directed from the rich to the poor, making the latter richer, coupled with increased employment (or a corresponding increase in wage)... if coupled with 1. and 2., it can work wonders for the poors and for everyone else
5. Cultural nights ( for foreign tourers to India) : Will definitely increase the enjoyment levels of the foreign tourists to India, this will make them come back, and persuade other comrades to come and visit India... this will in turn lead to an increase in the foreign currency supply to India and will also lead to an increase in the employment of the Indian poors (for entertaining the foreigners)... also if done properly, it may act as a platform for regional talent from rural India to be exhibited to the foreigners, earning big bucks for the poor Indians as well as for India as a whole....
so it is my earnest request to give an unbiased reading to an article and atleast attempt to look at the bigger picture before unleashing your wrath...
